Customize Your Massage

Sometimes in an attempt to step away from the chatter of the world, we wind up finding more inside a small room. At Healing Hands, we believe that the client sets the tone for the session. A few questions will be asked in the beginning to gauge any pain or see how challenging areas should be addressed, after that it is up to you. We believe that the best service is to customize the massage to your needs. Choose from our various offerings that include:

Swedish massage
The most popular form of massage in the West is this general massage focusing on overall well-being.
     Chair massage
A great way to receive a massage in less than twenty minutes, which focuses on the neck, shoulders, and back.
Cranial Release Technique (CRT)
Did you know the bones in your head can move? This technique realigns the bones to release the body’s innate ability to heal itself.
Deep tissue massage
This massage focuses upon the layers of connective tissue and muscles using deeper pressure.
Hot stone massage
Melt away stress and tension with this ancient healing modality. Hot stones are moved around key points throughout the body for ultimate relaxation.
Geriatric massage
For older clients, this service offers a lighter touch, which can calm arthritic flare-ups and contribute to a sense of well-being.
Sports massage
Athletes or weekend warriors will appreciate the attention to sore muscles and chronic pains.
Side-lying massage
An alternate positioning to alleviate pressure on the joints and muscles that is ideal for women who are expecting.

Your therapist will check in with you throughout the session regarding the amount of pressure you prefer during your massage.  However, it is very important for you to let your therapist know at any time whether you would like any modifications to your session.  It is always surprising to me how many people are afraid to speak up and make the therapist aware of changes they would like.  This is YOUR massage and we want to give you the very best.  Communication is a two-way street, so please let us know!  :-)
